Exclusive-Herend Exhibition at Gerbeaud House

Special program series taking place next to Vörösmarty Square in the coming weeks. ‘The Spirit of Hungaricum’ shows are waiting for the visitors at the beautiful Gerbaud House next to the most spectacular Christmas market

Visitors can choose among many daily cultural programs and able to visit our stunning exhibition. Herend provides something unique to the visitors. The exhibited porcelain’s values exceed hundreds of millions of forint, including special pieces.

The series of events taking place until 31th December. The official opening ceremony was opened by Thomas Vörös, managing director of Icon Productions and dr. Attila Simon CEO of Herend Porcelain Manufactory on Monday.

Herend has a unique connection to Gerbaud House, while the owner and managing director of the Porcelain Manufactory before the Second World War, Gyula Gulden married a ‘Gerbaud Girl’. They have started living their life together at the Gerbaud House.

Dr. Attila Simon pointed out that eight hundred people are working with the white porcelain at the factory and around three hundred new products are born yearly, which is an extraordinary number. The visitors can see few fresh items, but also can admire older pieces as well. For example the full sized copy of the Holy Crown from 1982 by Zsuzsa Bognar, so as the Schrammel platinum figures by Kossuth Prize winner Imre Schrammel.

This exceptional program series are waiting for their guests from all over the World, who are interested about tradition and culture, or just those who would like to receive some unique experience during the Holiday Season.
