Herend Porcelain has been present at world judo events for several years including the winners of the 2017 World Championships in Budapest.
This long-standing cooperation was crowned yesterday afternoon by Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd. and Marius L. Vizer, President of the International Judo Federation when the draw of the Budapest Judo Grand Prix, which begins on Friday, was held in the special room of the Sofitel Hotel Chain Bridge. 550 judo athletes from 82 countries will enter the tatami at the Olympic qualifying tournament. At the prestigious event, it was announced that in 2022 Budapest will again host the adult World Judo Championships.
During the event, the cooperation agreement was ceremonially signed by the President of the International Judo Federation and the CEO of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory. So Herend Trophies will continue to be given to the winners of major judo tournaments!
