The winners of the FEI Driving European Championship for Four in Hand received Herend porcelain prizes.
The FEI Driving European Championship for Four in Hand was held in Kincsem Park, Budapest, between September 2nd to 5th, 2021, as a co-event of the World Hunting and Nature Exhibition titled “One with Nature”. Fifty years ago, Budapest hosted the first Driving European Championship for Four in Hand, which proved to be a real success story, also indicated by the fact that the race was honoured by the recently deceased Prince Philip, member of the British Royal House, with his presence. As stated at the opening ceremony of the event: “Fifty years ago, a successful hunting exhibition was held in Budapest under different historical circumstances, which presented not only game management, but also our equestrian culture with the Driving European Championship for Four in Hand. Fifty years later we undertook a similar project.”
The seats of Kincsem Park were full every day and the spectators saw exciting, well-organized races. At the prize ceremony, Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd., personally presented the Herend prizes, which will certainly be high on the winners’ shelves.
Congratulations to the winners and all drivers and organizers!
