Violinist János Rolla wins the Saint Martin award in Pannonhalma

On Saint Martin’s Day of Pannonhalma Archabbey, 16th November, violinist and concert master of Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, János Rolla received the Saint Martin Award founded by the Archabbey, the Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd. and the Bábolna National Stud Farm LLC.

The Pannonhalma Archabbey has invited the representatives, friends, and partners of MKB Bank, Herend Porcelain Manufactory and Bábolna National Stud Farm to the event on Saint Martin’s Day since 2000 to hand over the Saint Martin Award to a selected person.

On Saint Martin’s Day, the award is given to a person who has done the greatest job in recent years to realize cultural, touristic and regional development programs in the former region of Pannonia, thus contributing to the familiarization and preservation of the national heritage and cultural treasures.

In 2018, the founders unanimously decided to award the Saint Martin Award to Kossuth Prize-winning Hungarian violinist and concert master of Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, János Rolla.
