A new exhibition of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory and the Savaria Museum has opened with the above title.
A special feature of Herend porcelain is its ability to constantly renew over generations. The aim of the exhibition is to represent this capacity for renewal. All this can be well traced through the development of one of the most famous Herend patterns, named after Queen Victoria of England. In this way, the world of nearly two hundred years is represented on the tables at the same time. Among the almost endless selection of Herend porcelain products, the spectacular carnival figures, designed by ceramist and sculptor Imre Schrammel and “dressed up” by the decorations of the Herend masters bringing them to life in this way, form a separate world – among others, these particular works of art can be seen at the exhibition at Savaria Museum, Szombathely.
