The renewed permanent exhibition and the temporary exhibition space of the Herend Porcelain Museum are waiting for visitors again.
To our delight, many honoured us with their presence. We believe that after a break of several months, many were waiting for Herend cultural events. We hope we have managed to surprise the dear visitors by opening an extremely special, unusual, and novel exhibition for the general public, joining the beautified, refreshed interactive Herend porcelain exhibition.
Guests were greeted by Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of the Herendi Porcelain Manufactory Ltd., who also built his speech around this thought. Cultural rebirth, a new beginning as a phoenix, and Herend’s innovation were the keywords of his speech.
At the new exhibition we can look at the works of Herend from new perspectives, we have turned the porcelain world upside down, and we can look at Herend items in ultraviolet light. In his opening speech, Dr. Zsolt Virág, Ministerial Commissioner, emphasized the importance of Herend in applied arts and tourism, and in addition to its durability, he praised the continuous renewal of Herend porcelain. The renewal of the Herend Porcelain Museum was supported by the maintaining Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd. and the Kubinyi Tender Program.
The opening ceremony was featured by violinist Izsák Farkas performing traditional folk songs in a modern way on his electric violin, thus perfectly fitting into the thought of tradition-innovation.
The astonishing special exhibition, which affects all the senses, awaits visitors until the end of August 2020.
