The Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives presents a joint exhibition with the Herend Porcelain Museum, featuring the story and art of the Herend Seder Plates.
The unique exhibition opened at 6 p.m. on 29 October and can be visited until 29 April 2019 on the second floor of the Hungarian Jewish Museum. The formal opening of the exhibition was graced by the presence of Israeli Ambassador Yossi Amrani, US Ambassador David B. Cornstein, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Hungary Marie-France André, Ambassador of the Croatian Republic Mladen Andrlić and the Head of the Press and Cultural Affairs Department of the Japanese Embassy, Haruko Takeshita.
The guests were welcomed by the museum’s director, Dr. Zsuzsanna Toronyi before the opening began with the traditional Rabbinic teachings. The Rabbi of the Museum, István Darvas, addressed the guests.
Dr. Attila Simon, Chief Executive Officer of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory also welcomed the guests before the Israeli Ambassador opened the exhibition.
