The exhibit of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory has opened with great success in Poland, in the city of Jaslo.
Within the framework of the voluntarily undertaken cultural mission of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, the products of the 192 year old manufactory have made their debut in Poland for the first time. Half a thousand objects have been presented at the Regional Museum in Jaslo under the aegis of tradition and innovation. Alongside the developmental history of the most popular Herend patterns, innovative pieces, as well as classic and modern objects alike can be viewed in the museum’s exhibition hall until the end of October. The exhibition offers a glimpse into the astonishing palette of products of the world’s largest porcelain manufactory.
The grand opening, held within the framework of the traditional Jaslo Wine Days, has been characterized by public interest that has not been this intense for quite a long time. International delegations and a multitude of local visitors have viewed the exhibited masterpieces. Dr Attila Simon, Chief Executive Officer of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. delivered a speech at the event; he spoke about the values that are infused into a given Herend piece. The guests were also greeted by Ryszard Pabian, the Mayor of Jaslo, who had emphasized that it was the first time that Herend Porcelains are available for viewing by the public in Poland. The opening ceremony was made even more enticing by a painting presentation; the guests were able to catch a glimpse of the mysteries of porcelain painting.
