One of the most windless Blue Ribbon sailing regattas of the last ten years was won by the sailboat called RSM2. The 13.45-meter-long, 24-meter-high catamaran was able to be the most efficient in strikingly windless weather. The top three finishers lifted beautiful trophies made by the Herend Porcelain Manufactory. The form of the Herend trophies dates back to the 19th century, and the Apponyi pattern on them to the 20th century. The décor was named after Albert Apponyi, who first ordered it in 1932, while the blue colour of the Apponyi pattern is the result of modern product development symbolizing Lake Balaton. As the round the lake sailing regatta is renewed year after year while preserving traditions, the Herend prizes are also born in the thought of tradition and innovation so that the winners can lift them to the highest.
