The 200-year-old Herend Porcelain Manufactory opened a new international porcelain art exhibition, this time in Ljubljana.
On the occasion of the bicentennial of Herend Porcelain Manufactory, the exhibition “Herend Kaleidoscope” opened in Ljubljana, presenting the artistic heritage and contemporary values of the world-famous Hungarian porcelain brand to the Slovenian public. The exhibition is hosted by the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Centre in Ljubljana.
The exhibition focuses on Herend’s artisanal traditions, the craftsmanship passed down through generations, and the treasures that have established the Manufactory’s international reputation. The aim is for visitors to not only see porcelain objects, but also to gain insight into the cultural and applied arts heritage that has made Herend the most well-known symbol of the Hungarian luxury industry.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition in Ljubljana, Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of Herend Porcelain Manufactory, emphasized: Herend is no longer just a porcelain brand, but one of the best-known ambassadors of Hungarian cultural identity and craft tradition in Europe and the world.
