“In the City of Saint Stephen: Herend 200” – special porcelain exhibition at Esztergom Castle Museum

Ádám Hernádi, Mayor of the City of Esztergom, and Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd., delivered a ceremonial speech at the opening. The exhibition features nearly 250 porcelain works demonstrating the close relationship between tradition and innovation.

The special feature of the exhibition is that it not only showcases artistic works related to Herend but also displays the expertise that has been passed down through generations, which is the basis for the operation of the Manufactory.

Visitors can view several special works of art. The exhibition includes the life-like replica of a 19th-century baptismal font, which is an impressive example of the craftsmanship of the time. One of the highlights of the exhibition is the equestrian figurine of King St. Stephen, which connects the Herend porcelain art with the historical and cultural heritage of Esztergom in a worthy way.

The “Herend 200” exhibition both pays tribute to the values of the past and shows how tradition is capable of continuous renewal.
