Herend porcelain and Blue Ribbon regatta go hand in hand at Lake Balaton

Herend porcelain and Blue Ribbon regatta go hand in hand at Lake Balaton

2024. July 21.

The main prize, according to tradition, was a Herend porcelain trophy painted with a new decor!

At the prize ceremony of the 56th Blue Ribbon Raiffeisen Grand Prix, the MLS Raiffeisen Fifty-Fifty took first place in the absolute ranking. The main prize, according to tradition, was a Herend porcelain trophy painted with a new decor!

The sizes of the first prize: height 50 cm, width 30 cm, weight almost 4 kg. The surface of the trophy with lid is divided into two main panels. One panel reflects tradition and the other one innovation. The traditional blue version of the Apponyi pattern appears on the Blue Ribbon trophy, so its colour refers to Lake Balaton, but also expresses Herend’s predictable, ongoing presence in supporting the Blue Ribbon year after year.

A new creative pattern can be seen on the other main panel of the Herend trophy, indicating Herend’s innovative thinking. A detail of the pattern symbolizes the rippling Lake Balaton, on which a sailing ship proudly sails. The silhouette of the sun disc appears in a bright, 24k gold-painted circle, emphasizing the solemn and elegant nature of the event.

Congratulations to the winners!
