The opening ceremony of the exhibition "The Gold of Pannonia" in Rome was attended by representatives of the Italian Parliament and Italian public and cultural life, as well as ambassadors of the European Union member states.

Speeches were given by the Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies, the President of the Constitutional Affairs Committee, the President of the Culture Committee, Ádám Zoltán Kovács, Ambassador of Hungary to Rome, and Dr. Attila Simon, CEO. In their speeches, they emphasized that Herend porcelain is not just a brand name, but represents the luxury, quality, and elegance that Hungarians can rightly be proud of.

Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd., said that they brought an extremely rich Herend collection to Rome, in harmony with Italian sophistication and the expectations of the location. “This Herend exhibition further strengthens Hungary’s international image and at the same time well represents the world-leading role of Herend Porcelain Manufactory” – emphasized the CEO. Among the numerous works of art, visitors can admire the tea set commissioned by Italian King Victor Emmanuel II from Herend to replace his broken Chinese set.
