This year, the Ray of Hope Foundation for Haematological and Oncological Paediatric Patients of Southern Great Plain of Hungary received the Saint Martin Award made of Herend porcelain.
This year, the Ray of Hope Foundation for Haematological and Oncological Paediatric Patients of Southern Great Plain of Hungary received the Saint Martin Award made of Herend porcelain, and Mária Rudan (1982-2022), former head of the Human Dignity Project of the Office of the Conferences of Hungarian Monastic Superiors, was posthumously recognized.
The award, founded by Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd., Pannonhalma Archabbey and Bábolna National Stud Farm, has been recognizing for 24 years the work of those individuals and associations who have done the most in the previous year or years for the implementation of cultural, touristic, and regional development programs in former Pannonia, thus contributing to the dissemination and preservation of national heritage and cultural values.
The awards were presented by CEO Dr. Attila Simon and Archabbot T. Cirill Hortobágyi in the presence of Hungarian President Dr. Tamás Sulyok. The ceremony was also honoured by the presence of Minister István Nagy.
At the event, Gergely Prőhle, National Supervisor of the Evangelical Church of Hungary and Director of the Otto von Habsburg Foundation, also gave a ceremonial speech.
