The magnificent Queen Victoria is one of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory’s oldest and best known patterns. Created in the Far Eastern style, this décor comprises nearly a hundred different kinds of butterflies and blossoming branches painted in bright colors. A dinner set decorated with this captivatingly colorful pattern was awarded with the jury’s grand prize at the 1851 Great Exhibition in London. This success was truly crowned when Queen Victoria of England herself ordered a complete dinner set with this décor for her palace. The décor kept its popularity to the present day. As a result of Herend’s product development, it has already been designed in many renewed variants based on innovation coming from traditions.
