A new Herend porcelain exhibition titled “Perfect Harmony” was ceremonially opened in the Chinese city Xincheng, jointly organized by the Consulate General of Shanghai, the Herend Porcelain Manufactory and the Municipality of Herend.

The newly opened Herend porcelain exhibition is part of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory’s voluntary cultural mission, which stems from the philosophy of value creation – value preservation – value transmission. In the past decade, the Herend Porcelain Manufactory has organized around 150 cultural porcelain art exhibitions in Hungary and abroad, making a significant and unique contribution to the building of Hungary’s national image. Hungarian Consul General Szilárd Bolla gave a welcome speech at the opening of the exhibition, and Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd., and László Jánszky, Mayor of Herend, greeted the guests appeared at the opening in a video message. The exhibition presents both the traditions of Herend porcelain and the innovative creations of the Manufactory, perfectly representing the magnificence, excellence and uniqueness of hand-painting. The Herend porcelain works of art are presented together with the creations of Mu Yilin, a renowned silk painter from the local region, thus showing the differences and similarities between Hungarian (western) and Chinese culture.
