Herend porcelain in Majk – a special exhibition opens at Camaldolese Hermitage
2026. February 6.
A new Herend porcelain exhibition entitled “Brilliant Milestones” opened at Camaldolese Hermitage of Majk.
The exhibition presents the 200-year tradition, professional milestones and outstanding works of the world-famous Herend Porcelain Manufactory in a unique setting.
The exhibition’s chief patron, Dr. Tibor Navracsics, Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development, gave a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. State secretary Dr. Judit Bertalan Czunyi also greeted the guests, and then the Mayor of Oroszlány introduced the exhibition venue.
As one of the special features of the exhibition, the first guided tour was given by Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd. In his presentation with a personal touch, visitors could learn about the art of porcelain making, the iconic pieces of the Manufactory, and the background to the international successes of Herend porcelain.
The special atmosphere of Camaldolese Hermitage of Majk provides a worthy setting for the presentation of Herend porcelain. The Herend porcelain exhibition, which was also honoured with the presence of Kimura Tetsuya, Ambassador of Japan to Hungary, can be visited until April 7, 2026.
