Opening ceremony of porcelain exhibition “Herend Opening” at Great Hall of Mosonmagyaróvár Castle

2024. March 1.

The masterpieces presented at the exhibition aim to appeal to people of all ages, emphasized CEO Dr. Attila Simon, who also highlighted the secret of the success of handcrafted products, which led Herend to overtake its competitors and now become the world’s leading porcelain manufactory.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was enhanced by an excellent concert by violinist Sándor Jávorkai and cellist Ádám Jávorkai, which received a standing ovation from the almost hundred guests present.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was honoured by the presence of Junko Sato, current head of mission of the Japanese Embassy in Budapest.

At the exhibition, you can see a 5-meter-long table lavishly laid with Herend porcelain in the “Mix & Match” style, as well as several unique, large, bravura porcelain works of art, several of which are on display for the first time at this location. Among this year’s novelties of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, a monumental dragon figure, more than 1 meter high, is presented at an exhibition for the first time, made for the year of the dragon according to the Chinese horoscope.

The special porcelain selection awaits visitors until April 30, 2024 at Great Hall of Mosonmagyaróvár Castle.
